Prof. Dr. Katja Radon


Katja Radon is Chairwoman of the Center for International Health at LMU Munich Hospital. At this hospital, she heads the Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology & NetTeaching Unit at the Institute of Occupational, Social and Environmental Medicine. She is academic leader for LMU to the European University Network for Global Health (EUGLOH). Dr Radon studied Environmental Engineering at the TU Berlin and Epidemiology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Her venia legendi dealt with the respiratory health of European farmers. The focus of Dr Radons current work is the impact of the environment on human health – taking animal and plant health into account. In teaching, she is particularly committed to blended learning models. Here she cooperates with various universities in Latin America. She is (co-)author of more than 200 scientific publications listed in PubMed.
